Pickleball: Referee Prep Course

Whether you want to get a better grasp of pickleball rules, want to volunteer to referee in local tournaments, or aspire to be a credentialed referee, this training will get you started and might even improve your game.  

Materials will be presented by a Level 2 USA Pickleball Referee and will consist of 3 hours of instruction in the fundamentals of refereeing followed by 2 hours of practice refereeing matches at a variety of levels.  

Upon successful completion, participants will be able to assist local Tournament Directors in refereeing matches and take the next steps under the supervision of a Certified Referee to become a credentialed USA Pickleball Level 1 Referee.   Learn More about USAP Refereeing

Registered participants must complete the following prior to 4/20/24:

• Download and be familiar with the USA Pickleball Official Rulebook.  https://usapickleball.org/what-is-pickleball/official-rules/

• Pass the USA Pickleball Players Exam with an 80% or better.  https://usapickleball.org/rules-tests/player-test/
